CVE-2022-25989Public exploit

Authentication bypass via poisoned DHCP subnet overlap

Published May 5, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

Authentication bypass in Anker Innovations eufy HomeBase 2 2.1.8.5h allows attackers to access protected services via DHCP poisoning. The libxm_av.so getpeermac() function treats a successful br0 ARP lookup for the peer IP as proof that the connection belongs to a paired device. An attacker on the same subnet can overlap the Ethernet DHCP subnet with br0, reuse a paired-device IP, reach protected ports, and redirect replies.
