Information disclosure via inherited property lookup
Published Dec 23, 2022 · Updated Apr 14, 2025
Information exposure in LiquidJS before 10.0.0 allows remote attackers to read inherited object properties through crafted templates. Context.getFromScope passes template path segments to readProperty, which reads obj[key] and invokes inherited functions when ownPropertyOnly is false. Exposure requires an application to render attacker-controlled property paths against objects whose prototypes contain sensitive data.
