Administrator restriction bypass via missing integrity check
Published May 5, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Improper integrity validation in F5 BIG-IP and Guided Configuration allows remote authenticated users to bypass Appliance mode restrictions. F5 identifies the locus only as Guided Configuration and states that it omits an integrity check; no affected URI or operation is public. Exploitation requires Administrator privileges and Appliance mode, and the bypass defeats controls that deny root and Bash access.
