CVE-2022-25906Public exploit

Arbitrary command execution via unsanitized OpenSSL option

Published Feb 1, 2023 · Updated Mar 26, 2025

Command injection in all versions of Stefan Judis is-http2 allows attackers to execute OS commands through the isH2 openssl option. The isH2 function concatenates the caller-supplied options.openssl string into child_process.exec shell commands without quoting or validation. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass attacker-controlled option data, and commands run with the Node.js process privileges.
