Physical settings tampering via missing authentication
Published Mar 8, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper authentication in Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Mar-2022 Release 1 allows attackers to change Lock and mask protections. The enable/disable control accepts a settings change without requiring the authentication that protects the Lock and mask apps feature. Physical access and user interaction are required; the documented consequence is limited to changing whether this device protection is enabled.
