Protected-resource access via unrestricted Whois queries

SSRF in the Whois lookup tool in Best Practical RTIR before 4.0.3 and 5.x before 5.0.3 allows remote attackers to access protected resources. The tool accepts a query-supplied destination without confining outbound requests to the intended Whois server, causing the RTIR host to send the request. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient, and successful requests can cross the server's trust boundary without reported service interruption.
