CVE-2022-25796

Code execution via DWF parser double free

Published Apr 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Double free in Autodesk Navisworks 2022.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a malicious DWF file. The DWF parser frees the same memory twice while processing attacker-controlled file content; Autodesk has not disclosed the function or object involved. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open the file, and successful exploitation runs code in the application context.
