Published Jul 29, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Improper access control in SourceCodester Garage Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to create application accounts. The createUser.php endpoint processes a direct multipart request containing a chosen username, password, and email address without verifying authorization to manage users. Low-privileged access is sufficient to add a login-capable account, enabling subsequent access through the newly created credentials.
