Remote memory corruption via malformed CoAP messages

Memory corruption in Qualcomm modem firmware allows remote attackers to corrupt memory by sending a malformed incoming CoAP message. The modem's CoAP message handler performs improper input validation before processing attacker-controlled message data, corrupting memory. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the corruption can compromise modem-resident data, behavior, or availability.
