Information disclosure via unchecked modem packet read
Published Apr 4, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in affected Qualcomm Snapdragon modem firmware allows remote attackers to read sensitive memory via local-network packets. The proprietary packet-reading path omits a NULL check and uses an uninitialized variable, although Qualcomm has not identified the variable or packet field. No authentication or user interaction is required, but the attacker must reach the modem from the local network; the disclosed data cannot be modified.
