CVE-2022-25726Network attack vector

Modem-data disclosure via DNS response over-read

Published Apr 4, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Buffer over-read in Qualcomm Snapdragon modem firmware allows remote attackers to disclose modem data via a crafted DNS response packet. The modem DNS-response handler accesses an array outside its bounds while parsing the incoming packet, reading adjacent modem memory. No authentication or user interaction is required; the documented impact is data disclosure and limited service interruption.
