Published Jan 6, 2023 · Updated Apr 9, 2025
Memory corruption in the display driver in Qualcomm Snapdragon allows local users to corrupt memory through malformed fence handling. The driver applies an incorrect type cast when accessing fields of a fence structure, causing access through an incompatible structure type. Exploitation requires high local privileges and no user interaction, and successful abuse can compromise data or crash the device.
