Memory corruption via out-of-range QMI pointer offset

Memory corruption in Qualcomm Snapdragon modem software allows local users to corrupt modem memory while a QMI message is processed. The modem applies an out-of-range offset to a valid pointer, producing a pointer outside its intended memory region. Local access is required, with neither privileges nor user interaction required; Qualcomm does not disclose whether corruption yields a crash, code execution, or data access.
