Modem service interruption via reconfiguration assertion
Published Dec 13, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025
Reachable assertion in Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms allows remote attackers to interrupt modem service via a reconfiguration message. While processing the message, the modem reaches an internal assertion that stops modem processing. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is limited to loss of modem availability.
