Script execution via unsanitized cell rendering
Published Aug 30, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Cross-site scripting in x-data-spreadsheet through 1.1.9 allows remote attackers to execute script via crafted cell values. The cell-rendering path inserts supplied values into generated page content without neutralizing HTML event-handler markup. A user must load or view attacker-controlled spreadsheet content, after which the script runs in the page context and can read or modify accessible data.
