TCP service interruption via malformed TCP headers
Published Apr 12, 2022 · Updated Apr 21, 2025
Resource consumption in Siemens industrial products allows remote attackers to interrupt TCP services with crafted short-header segments. The PROFINET stack, when combined with the Interniche IP stack, mishandles internal resources while parsing TCP segments whose declared header is shorter than the protocol minimum. Network access to TCP/102 is required; successful exploitation interrupts TCP services without reported data access or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
