CVE-2022-25598Network attack vector

Unauthenticated service interruption via registration validation regex

Published Mar 30, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Regular expression denial of service in Apache DolphinScheduler before 2.0.5 allows remote attackers to interrupt the API service. The user-registration validation path evaluates attacker-controlled registration parameters with an inefficient regular expression that can consume excessive CPU. The registration interface must be exposed to the network, and no authentication or user interaction is required to degrade availability.
