Stored XSS via unneutralized article content
Published Mar 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in the Column module of ClassCMS 2.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in a visitor's browser. The Add Articles field accepts and stores crafted HTML or script content that the application later renders without neutralization. Low-privilege access is required to plant the payload, and execution occurs when another user views the affected content, exposing that browser session to script-driven data access or changes.
