Code execution via editable Apache handler configuration
Published Mar 18, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Code injection in TaoCMS 3.0.2 allows attackers with file-management access to execute uploaded PHP code through Apache. The file manager permits .htaccess edits that add a handler for a chosen extension, after which an uploaded file with that extension is interpreted as PHP. Exploitation requires the ability to edit the site configuration and create a file in the web directory, resulting in server-side code execution.
