Service interruption via unchecked time parsing
Published Mar 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stack overflow in saveParentControlInfo in Tenda AX1806 1.0.0.1 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via a crafted time parameter. The /goform/saveParentControlInfo handler passes the HTTP time value to sscanf, which writes it into a stack buffer without a bounds check. The request is network-reachable without authentication or user interaction, and successful exploitation interrupts router operation.
