Service crash via unchecked urls copy
Published Mar 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Heap overflow in Tenda AX1806 firmware 1.0.0.1 allows remote attackers to crash the router through a crafted urls parameter. The saveParentControlInfo HTTP handler passes the request's urls value to strcpy, which copies it without a length check into a heap buffer at offset 80. An unauthenticated POST to /goform/saveParentControlInfo with an oversized value corrupts heap memory and interrupts routing service.
