API and WebSocket key disclosure via JavaScript
Published Mar 10, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in FreeTAKServer-UI 1.9.8 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive API and WebSocket keys from the WebUI. The WebUI places REST API bearer and WebSocket tokens in client-side JavaScript source instead of withholding them from users. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the exposed tokens enable unintended requests against connected services.
