Authenticated reflected XSS via unsanitized A parameter
Published Mar 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected cross-site scripting in Atom CMS 2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a victim's browser via the A parameter. The /widgets/debug.php endpoint prints the complete $_GET array with print_r without filtering, allowing supplied markup to be reflected into the response. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to induce a victim to request a crafted URL; the demonstrated consequence is script execution in that victim's browser context.
