Memory corruption via oversized login password
Published Mar 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda AC6 firmware 15.03.05.09_multi allows remote attackers to corrupt memory through a crafted loginpwd value. The SetFirewallCfg request handler processes the attacker-controlled loginpwd parameter without enforcing the destination stack buffer capacity. Unauthenticated network access to the management interface is sufficient, and oversized input corrupts the router process stack.
