Unauthenticated memory corruption via unchecked time input
Published Mar 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC6 firmware 15.03.05.09_multi allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via a crafted time parameter. The saveParentControlInfo request handler accepts the attacker-controlled time value without adequate bounds enforcement, causing an out-of-bounds stack write. Triggering requires no authentication or user interaction and results in process memory corruption; public evidence does not demonstrate code execution.
