CVE-2022-25411Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Code execution via weakened PHP upload controls

Published Feb 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Remote code execution in MaxSite CMS 180 allows attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code through its web administration interface. The attack permits PHP uploads in /admin/options, deletes uploads/.htaccess through a separate arbitrary-file-deletion flaw, uploads a PHP web shell, and requests it for execution. Access to the administrative options and the file-deletion condition are required; successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied commands as the web server account.
