Stored script injection via missing nonce validation
Published Sep 6, 2022 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in uContext for Amazon 3.9.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through forged requests. The doAjax() handler calls app/sites/ajax/actions/keyword_save.php without validating a WordPress nonce before saving attacker-controlled keyword settings. Exploitation requires an administrator to act on the forged request, after which the stored script executes in a site visitor's browser.
