Stored XSS via nonce-free settings update
Published Sep 6, 2022 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Link Optimizer Lite 1.4.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject stored scripts via a forged request. The admin_page function in admin.php processes settings-changing requests without validating a nonce, so attacker-controlled script content is saved. Exploitation requires a site administrator to act on the forged request, after which plugin settings can contain persistent attacker-supplied script.
