Database inference via unneutralized customer identifier
Published Mar 2, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Medical Store Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to query its database through a crafted customer request. The customer-add.php handler accepts cid as POST data without neutralizing SQL syntax, allowing an injected MySQL SLEEP subquery to execute. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the demonstrated timing oracle permits inference of database contents.
