CVE-2022-25366Public exploit

Local code execution via DYLD library injection

Published Feb 19, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

DYLIB injection in Cryptomator 1.6.5 and earlier allows local users to execute code in the application process on macOS. The signed application enables library-validation bypass and DYLD environment variables, causing dyld to load an attacker-controlled .dylib named by DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES at launch. Exploitation requires local access to place the library and launch Cryptomator with the crafted environment; injected code runs with the user's application privileges.
