Remote code execution via integer-overflowed heap allocation
Published Feb 24, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Integer overflow in Trend Micro ServerProtect 5.8 and 6.0 Information Server allows remote authenticated users to execute code or crash it. EarthAgent.exe performs overflowing 32-bit size calculations on attacker-controlled counts in commands 73730 and 36885, allocates undersized heap buffers, and copies data into them. Reaching TCP port 5005 with console-level access is required; heap corruption terminates EarthAgent.exe or enables arbitrary code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
