Code execution via stale CXP parser object
Published Mar 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use after free in OMRON CX-Programmer 9.76.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted CXP file. The CXP parser performs operations on an object without validating that the object still exists after its memory has been freed. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file, after which code runs in the CX-Programmer process and process memory can be disclosed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
