Reflected script execution via unescaped access token
Published Aug 22, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in SlickRemix Feed Them Social before 3.0.1 allows remote attackers to execute script through a crafted access-token request. The fts_encrypt_token_ajax handler returns the access_token parameter in its response without sanitizing or escaping it, so browser markup is interpreted as code. An authenticated WordPress user must open the crafted admin-ajax URL; the script then runs in that user's site origin and can read or modify data available to that session.
