Unauthenticated endpoint access via unconditional allowlist
Published Feb 18, 2022 · Updated Nov 19, 2024
Authentication bypass in Cerebrate 1.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to reach disabled directory index endpoints. The IndividualsController and OrganisationsController beforeFilter methods unconditionally allow unauthenticated index access instead of checking the Cerebrate.open setting. No account or user interaction is required, and exposure is limited to the two directory index endpoints.
