Improper privilege management in Siemens SINEC NMS before 2.0 and SINEMA Server V14 allows local users to escalate privileges. The software fails to separate privileges between users authenticated to Control and Operation through the same web browser session, creating unintended cross-user control. Exploitation requires low-privileged access, user interaction, and established SSO authentication in both interfaces; successful abuse grants higher application privileges.
