Stack-based buffer overflow in wgagent in WatchGuard Fireware OS 12.0 through 12.7.2 Update 1 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. WatchGuard has not disclosed the specific malicious-image field or unsafe operation in wgagent that overruns the stack buffer. The attacker must hold privileges sufficient to initiate a firmware update; successful exploitation runs arbitrary code on the appliance.
