Improper input validation in Drupal core 7.0 through 7.87, 9.2.0 through 9.2.12, and 9.3.0 through 9.3.5 allows attackers to overwrite data via forms. The Form API fails to reject disallowed submitted values for certain forms supplied by contributed or custom modules, allowing them to replace critical or sensitive data. Exploitation requires an affected form, which Drupal describes as uncommon; no affected form in core itself has been reported.
