Authenticated arbitrary file upload via path traversal
Published Mar 23, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Path traversal in Passwork On-Premise Edition before 4.6.13 allows remote authenticated users to upload arbitrary files to the server. The migration/uploadExportFile endpoint fails to confine the destination path when processing a specially crafted HTTP upload request. An Owner account is required; the resulting arbitrary file write can alter server-hosted data, while code execution is not established publicly.
