Service crash via unchecked oversized buffer allocation

Improper exception handling in all versions of PTC Axeda Agent and Axeda Desktop Server for Windows allows remote attackers to crash services. EByteArray::SetSize accepts an impossible buffer size from a request and calls operator new without validation; the resulting exception is not handled. An unauthenticated oversized XML-size request to xGate on its listening port terminates that process, and similar paths affect other services using xBase39.dll.
