CVE-2022-25251Network attack vector

Configuration disclosure and modification via unauthenticated XML

Published Mar 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025

Missing authentication in all versions of PTC Axeda Agent and Axeda Desktop Server for Windows allows remote attackers to alter configuration. The configuration service on TCP port 3031 accepts specially formed XML messages without verifying the sender and returns or applies configuration data. Network reachability to that configurable port is sufficient, exposing configuration contents and permitting unauthorized changes without credentials.
