CVE-2022-25244Network attack vector

Tokenization key disclosure via configuration endpoint

Published Mar 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Information disclosure in HashiCorp Vault Enterprise allows remote authenticated users to read a tokenization key from a configuration endpoint. The tokenization key configuration endpoint incorrectly includes the base64-encoded key in a requested key configuration. Exploitation requires read permission on the authenticated endpoint, and reversing tokens also requires tokenization state plus end-user tokens in default non-exportable mode.
