Forced file uploads via missing CSRF validation
Published Feb 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in FileCloud before 21.3 allows remote attackers to force an authenticated user to upload files. The CSV file-upload endpoint accepts a cross-origin request without validating an anti-CSRF token and performs the upload in the user's session. Exploitation requires a logged-in user to activate the attacker's request, which adds attacker-chosen files to that user's storage.
