Code execution via crafted CXP file
Published Mar 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use after free in OMRON CX-Programmer 9.76.1 and earlier allows attackers to execute code or disclose information through a crafted CXP file. Public advisories do not identify the parser routine, object, or lifetime error that causes freed memory to be reused. A user must open the file in the application, after which attacker-controlled code can run in that user's security context.
