Authenticated code execution via event query SQL injection
Published Mar 8, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Softinventive Lab Network Olympus 1.8.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through a crafted API request. The /api/eventinstance endpoint accepts crafted JSON query content as SQL, permitting Boolean-based or stacked statements and DLL-based function loading. Administrative credentials are required, and the default PostgreSQL installation turns database control into command execution on the Windows host.
