Arbitrary file read via unrestricted download path
Published Mar 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Path traversal in Fengtao Software PlayerFab 6.2.1.0 through 7.0.0.5 allows remote attackers to read Windows files via HTTP. The media-library web interface on port 32080 accepts a URL-encoded absolute path in the /download/ route and returns that file without confining access to the intended log or media directory. No authentication or user interaction is required, but disclosure is limited to files readable by the Windows account running the application.
