CVE-2022-25175Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via shared SCM checkout

Published Feb 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

OS command injection in Jenkins Pipeline: Multibranch Plugin 706.vd43c65dec013 and earlier lets remote authenticated users run controller commands. The readTrusted step reuses one checkout directory across distinct SCMs, allowing crafted repository contents from one SCM to affect a later trusted checkout. Item/Configure permission is required, and successful exploitation executes arbitrary OS commands with the Jenkins controller process's access.
