Authenticated stored script execution via unsanitized hover captions
Published Sep 6, 2022 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Stored XSS in Beaver Builder 2.5.5.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through an image hover caption. The Photo module stores the Caption - On Hover value without sufficient sanitization and emits it into page output without adequate escaping. Access to the Beaver Builder editor is required; the injected script executes whenever a visitor opens an affected page.
