Stored XSS in Ryan Petersen Simple Banner 2.11.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through an activation-code setting. The settings handler stores pro_version_activation_code and renders it in an HTML attribute after only backslash-escaping quotes, without contextual sanitization or entity encoding. An account needs access to Simple Banner settings, and the payload runs in another permitted user's browser when that user opens the settings page and interacts with the Activation Code field.
