Unauthenticated command execution via crafted MQTT packet
Published Feb 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Command injection in TOTOLINK T6 4.1.5cu.748_B20211015 and T10 4.1.8cu.5207_B20210320 allows remote attackers to execute commands. The recvSlaveCloudCheckStatus function treats attacker-controlled MQTT packet content as command input without neutralizing command metacharacters. No privileges or user interaction are required; successful exploitation runs arbitrary commands with the MQTT-handling service's authority.
