Authenticated payment-log disclosure via missing page authorization
Published Mar 23, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Incorrect access control in OpenEMR 6.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to read administrator-only payment logs over HTTP. The /interface/billing/customize_log.php endpoint returns payment-log content without enforcing the administrator authorization expected for that page. Any authenticated account that can send a GET request can view payment records reserved for administrators; no write or service-interruption impact is reported.
